DonatingTime . . .

Are you interested in hosting a meeting, clinic or holiday party at your home or barn? Would you like to help organize a show or other fundraising event? Adult volunteers are needed at all levels of club life, from committee work devoted to a particular club function, to spending time at Longview Horse Park during our open cross country schooling season, to chaperoning field trips and rallies. If you have a particular area of interest, let us know and we will find a task that suits you. Or, if you'd like to be "on call" for whatever needs doing, we'll put your name on our volunteer list and notify you when we need that extra pair of hands. Contact us at missionvalleyponyclub@gmail.com to find out more!

Donating Talent . . .

Are you an expert in dressage, jumping, or mounted games? We are always looking for adults to teach, examine candidates at certifications, or even present a clinic. Are you passionate about foxhunting, vaulting, driving, or another specialty discipline? Do you have experience in veterinary care, equine nutrition, saddle fitting, or other topic suitable for a demonstration or lecture format? Our members love to learn new things, and are a great audience for your special interest, discipline, new product, or club. Contact us for opportunities at missionvalleyponyclub@gmail.com.

Donating Tack  . . .

Many new members come to Pony Club needing "everything," and this can be an initial barrier for families. Children new to riding need breeches, helmets, paddock boots, and half chaps. And, even after a child is established with a sufficient riding wardrobe, he or she may outgrow these items quickly. Plus, a child riding a pony today may be riding a horse tomorrow, so equipment needs can literally change overnight. We try to recycle clothing and equipment within our club as children grow and their needs evolve, but the need for more items is constant. Most of our members ride multiple days a week, so some items wear out, and cannot be returned to the next child in line. If you have items of clothing or equipment that are still in good condition please consider donating them to MVPC. With the wide variety of children, horses, ponies, and disciplines involved in our organization, almost any item will be appreciated and used. MVPC is a 501(c)(3) organization and your donation is tax deductible. We are happy to come to your home to pick up any items.

Donating Treasure . . .

Each year MVPC strives to provide as many educational, fun, and enriching activities as possible for our members. The number of activities we can provide is determined by the funds available to our club, which include the finite resources of our member families. We would always like to do more. Any donation, no matter how small, helps our club. A $25 gift could mean refreshments for a mounted meeting, or a "good luck" acknowledgment for a child attending championships. A $100 gift could pay for an instructor at a mounted meeting, or supplies for two new members. A $500 gift might mean a field trip for the entire club to a location out town. A $1000 gift could mean a beautiful new jump for the Longview cross country course. Larger gifts allow us to dream and take on even bigger challenges!

If you would like to donate, there are many easy ways to do so. Contact Jt-DC Jenny Barton at missionvalleyponyclub@gmail.com to discuss your plans for donation. Or, if you would like to donate directly, use the PayPal below or on our Facebook page.
